By Lisa Kerr

Some 450 members and special guests attended the Ray White & Loan Market Western Australia state awards at the Crown Grand Ballroom in Burswood on Saturday 5th of September to celebrate the achievements of the top offices and individuals throughout the network. The awards were the culmination of the past eighteen months results.

The awards saw Ray White Rockingham take away the top prize; named number one office based on the highest settled commission both in metropolitan and overall, while Ray White Geraldton was named top regional office.

The top sales person based on settled commission overall went to Mark Snelson of Ray White Ellenbrook. Mark also won the top sales awards for the number of sales made over the last 18 months.

Elsie Corby, who recently went into business with her son Doug to open Ray White Corby & Co in Baldivis remains at the top of her game, taking out the award for top selling principal in the state.

Ray White Karratha’s Renee Taylor was named the network’s Top Rookie winning the John Seddon Top Rookie Award.

Western Australia’s top gong, The Ross Whiteman Award recognises the recipient as someone who has made a significant contribution to the White Family’s networks in WA.

For the first time ever and a clear sign of the integration of the Loan Market and Ray White groups it was presented to a Loan Market person, that being Ken MacLennan, Loan Market’s WA State Director.

Ken was chosen for his contribution with Loan Market and the work he has done to integrate the two brands in WA. Since Ken took over Loan Market in WA, the group has become a bonafide player in the marketplace with outstanding growth in volume of production and market share. Ken’s leadership during the tragic loss of broker Damien Mills highlighted under fire his contribution to the broader group along with his involvement with the group’s community focus through Oz Harvest and Daniher’s Drive for MND, which Ken is the organiser.

The Top Auction Listing Award for the top office went to Ray White Cahill & Associates, while Wayne Wickham of Ray White Dongara took out the top individual award.

Working alongside Loan Market brokers, and a network of Ray White offices across the state, it was important to recognise the top referrers throughout the network, the office who took out the highest amount of referrals was Ray White Whiteman & Associates with John Tran from the team named as the top individual referrer.
